I have played piano and keyboards for more than 25 years, have performed around the world, and accompanied legendary and new artists, including Stevie Wonder (for his 2007 tours), Tony Bennett, India Arie, and John Mayer. I have taught students of all ages: Elementary to Adult. I play and teach music in several styles, including Classical, Jazz, Blues, Gospel, Pop, R&B / Hip Hop, Broadway, Standards, etc. I place equal emphasis on reading and ear training, with the aim of musical competence in both cases. I encourage musical creativity through music theory, improvisation and exposure to and appreciation of a variety of musical styles. I believe in teaching freedom and fun in music.

Lesson Rate (SF Bay Area): $50 per 30 minute lesson; $75 per 45 minute lesson; $100 per hour lesson (advanced students only).
Coaching Rate (LA): $60 per 30 minute session; $90 per 45 minute session; $120 per hour session (advanced students only).

Location (SF Bay Area) : In my music studio (in San Leandro, centrally located between Hwy 580 and I-880).
Location (LA area): I am in the process of establishing a part time piano studio in Southern California. Until then, I offer lessons in various study locations.
